MRT stands for Mass Rapid Transit line. it's modern system like VAL in singapore. it established in 2003,june 20. it is completely automated and without driver i.e. driverless train. it contains steel wheel technology and high capacity rapid transit line.

NEL is high capacity line. it runs from south-west in Harbour Front to the north-east in punggol.and it takes very short time of 33 minutes to complete whole journey of one end of station to the other end of station complete journey. the complete line of journy is 19.2 KM contains 16 stations. all of these stations are in north-east line having great island platforms.
OVERVIEW & STATUS
it's daily ridership is around 579K with a single service. and it's built in fully undergrounded. it'sspeed is 56 MPH and 90 km/h. and it's whole construction $4.6B. it contains ATP to avoid any type of collision. i.e. ATP stands Automatic Train Protection. with Automatic Train Operation System (ATO). and it follows Train Data Management System. this called TDMS.
